Bilbao Airport approaches another record-breaking year

What has been on the horizon for months is now almost a reality. Bilbao Airport is about to complete a 2024 that will be, once again, another historic year for the Biscayan terminal. The data provided by Aena on air traffic last November confirms this. In the eleventh month of the year, 482,219 passengers passed through the facilities of La Paloma, a figure 6.6% higher than in November 2023, making it the best month in the history of the Biscayan infrastructure.
In the year as a whole, Bilbao Airport has accumulated passenger traffic that has already reached 6,284,187 passengers, 7.1% more than in the same period of 2023. A figure that is just short of the 6,336,441 people who passed through La Paloma in the whole of last year. Taking into account the forecasts for the month of December, Bilbao Airport will close this year 2024 with a historical record of close to seven million passengers.
With respect to November’s data, it is worth noting that the number of domestic passengers grew by a remarkable 1.9%, reaching 287,300 passengers. International traffic, meanwhile, increased by more than 14%, reaching 194,184 people.
Likewise, landing and take-off operations at Bilbao Airport during the month of November saw an outstanding increase, with 3,951 movements, 7.2% more than in the same month of 2023.
